About Us

Our Company

binsec GmbH is a consulting firm for information security and was founded in 2013 by security experts. Our team consists of experienced, certified specialists with different areas of expertise. Due to our extensive expertise in many different IT security fields, we can support our customers with a wide array of issues. Most of our customers are medium-sized companies, for whom security is pivotal to success.

Our company is wholly owned by three partners: Patrick Sauer, Florian Zavatzki and Dominik Sauer. Our objective is the long-term satisfaction of our customers and employees. We are not about short-term profit and aim to provide long-term value and solutions that meet our customers' demands.

Patrick Sauer

Chief Executive Officer

Patrick Sauer is the CEO our company. He is an expert in security management, PCI compliance and data protection. In addition to his diploma in information management and his master's in security management, he holds several recognised security certificates, such as CISSP, CISM, TISP and OSCP. What distinguishes him from other security managers is his high affinity and extensive understanding of technical IT security.

He currently teaches "IT Security Management & Compliance" at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, prior to which he lectured for several years on "PCI DSS" at Brandenburg Technical University.

Dominik Sauer

Head of Penetration Testing

Dominik Sauer is Head of Penetration Testing. He started his career during his computer science studies at Darmstadt University. Since then, he earned not only a master's degree in computer science with a specialization on IT security, but he also holds the most distinguished certificates for penetration testing: OSCP and OSCE. He performs the penetration test in accordance with the OWASP Testing Guide, the OSSTMM and the PCI DSS.

He teaches several courses like "Penetration Testing" and "Internet Security" at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences and other universities. He also developed the "Pentest Training" of the binsec academy GmbH.

Florian Zavatzki

Chief Technical Officer

Florian Zavatzki is the CTO of our company. He started his career more than ten years ago as a system integrator specialist in southern Germany. He has since worked as a system engineer for an international payment service provider.

His responsibilities at binsec are not only those of a manager and consultant. He is also the resident expert for various technical fields, and the term DevOp describes him best.

Academic teaching

We are actively involved in research and teaching and cooperate with Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences (HDA) and TH Mittelhessen University of Applied Sciences (THM). We offer the following courses or lectures:
