Analyze SOA, SPF, DMARC, DNSSEC, Zone Transfers & More
The DNSCheck tool on binsec.tools is a free, web-based utility designed to test the DNS configuration and security configuration of a domain. It performs a series of checks to identify potential vulnerabilities and misconfigurations.
SOA Record Validation: Ensures that all authoritative name servers are synchronized by checking the Start of Authority (SOA) records.
Zone Transfer (AXFR) Test: Detects if DNS zone transfers are improperly configured, which could allow unauthorized access to the entire DNS zone data.
DMARC Record Verification: Checks for the presence and correctness of the Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting, and Conformance (DMARC) record, which helps prevent email spoofing.
SPF Record Verification: Validates the Sender Policy Framework (SPF) record to ensure that only authorized mail servers can send emails on behalf of the domain.
DDNSSEC Signature Verification: Verifies the implementation of DNS Security Extensions (DNSSEC), which protect against DNS spoofing and cache poisoning attacks.
